Do you want to stay connected to the cause, continue making an impact, and inspire others to join our mission? We’re excited to introduce our Student Ambassador Program—an opportunity for alumni like you to help promote our programs and support the next generation of volunteers and interns.

Whether you worked with us as part of a group or as an Intern, your experience in Costa Rica has already had a profound impact. Now, as a Student Ambassador, you can help us raise awareness about the opportunities we offer for study abroad in Costa Rica and encourage others to embark on their own life-changing journey.

What Is the Student Ambassador Program?

Our Student Ambassador Program is designed for past participants of all our internships and volunteer programs, no matter your area of focus. Whether you were involved in education, community outreach, environmental work, or social justice, you can continue to support and promote our efforts to create positive change. As an ambassador, you will help recruit new participants, share your personal experience, and amplify the mission of our organization.

Being an ambassador means actively promoting the study abroad and volunteer opportunities we offer, helping others discover the transformative experience of living and working in Costa Rica’s diverse communities.

Why Become a Student Ambassador?

1. Stay Connected to the Mission: Your experience in Costa Rica has already had a lasting impact—both on you and on

the communities we serve. As an ambassador, you’ll continue to be a part of that journey by helping raise awareness about the life-changing opportunities available to future interns and volunteers.

2. Inspire Others to Study Abroad in Costa Rica: Many students and volunteers are seeking opportunities to immerse themselves in new cultures, build meaningful connections, and make a difference abroad. As an ambassador, you’ll help others discover the incredible educational and volunteer opportunities available in Costa Rica, from teaching English to supporting community development initiatives.

3. Professional Growth and Networking: Serving as a Student Ambassador is not only a way to give back but also a chance to enhance your personal and professional development. You’ll build skills in leadership, advocacy, public speaking, and

networking—valuable experiences that will serve you in future career endeavors.

4. Be Part of a Global Network: The Ambassador Program connects you with other alumni who are passionate about social justice, education, and community development. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate on projects, share ideas, and stay connected with like-minded individuals across the globe.

What Do Ambassadors Do?

As a Student Ambassador, you’ll play an essential role in promoting study abroad opportunities in Costa Rica and supporting the growth of our programs. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Share Your Story: Your firsthand experience of living and working in Costa Rica is a powerful tool for encouraging future interns and volunteers to take the leap. As an ambassador, you’ll share your story through blog posts, social media, and webinars. Your authentic perspective will inspire others to explore opportunities for study abroad and volunteerism in Costa Rica.
  • Reach Out to Your Network: Whether you’re back on campus or connected with professional organizations, your network is key to spreading the word about our programs. Share information about our internship and volunteer opportunities, host information sessions, and connect with students and organizations interested in study abroad programs in Costa Rica.
  • Support Recruitment Events: Help us spread the word at recruitment fairs, university info sessions, and virtual events. Your experience in Costa Rica will provide valuable insight to prospective interns and volunteers, helping them understand what to expect and why our programs are so impactful.
  • Fundraising and Donations: As an ambassador, you can also help raise funds to support our programs. Whether through hosting fundraising campaigns or connecting us with organizations that align with our mission, your involvement will ensure we can continue providing opportunities for students to study abroad in Costa Rica.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: For new interns and volunteers, your guidance can be invaluable. Offer advice on preparing for life in Costa Rica, navigating cultural differences, and making the most of their volunteer experience. Your mentorship will help them transition smoothly and maximize their impact during their time abroad.
